VALENTINE'S DAY ?

We don't really celebrate Valentine's Day around here. Maybe because our anniversary is always just a week before. But if I were to celebrate, I'd probably try to make Dave some calamari tonight. Mmm. Maybe I'll make some just because.

The self-made video above was shot by Ezra, whose journey to fight cancer is documented on his website. When he's well and able, he makes handmade bikes and takes beautiful photographs. In between getting chemo and beaten by cocktails of drugs, he still finds strength and time to cook for his loved ones, for Valentine's Day or any ol' day.

THE GO! TEAM IS COMING TO TOWN!

So, so happy to hear the news that one of my favorite bands, The Go! Team is going on a worldwide tour and making a stop in L.A. on April 19. They will bring a T.O.R.N.A.D.O of good times to Echoplex. Let's Go!

NEW ART ON OUR WALL

I just finished framing and putting up a new poster at our place. We live in a small apartment with limited wall space, so we could only put two to three posters at a time. One of the wall space has served as my "rotating poster wall", where I try to switch out prints from my growing collection every season or so.

This time around, I put up an "Earth Day Now" screenprint by Steven Harrington. It has a few of Steven Harrington's iconic characters floating in space. The best part is the poster glows in the dark! ooooh!

HAPPY 2011

Welcome to my first post of the New Year. I hope that you had a great New Year's celebration, whether you're out in Times Square with thousands of strangers, partying at a friend's house or on the couch, watching two Russell Crowe's movies (The Insider and Cinderella Man) like we did. I'm happy to start my first post of 2011 with this sweet Joshua Radin's "I'd Rather Be with You" video by Thomas Hicks. Here's to a year full of fresh ideas and new adventures.

SNOOZING TIL THE NEW YEAR!

Hello all. Hope you're having an awesome winter holiday. We've got some stories and pictures to share but we're hitting the snooze button and won't wake up til the New Year. At least, that's the plan.
