Really love watching this tilt shift video composed of footage taken from all over the U.S. The filmmaker traveled across the U.S. for three months to do research for the upcoming documentary, The American Backroom. The documentary will be "a portrait of a nation illustrated by a variety of fragments from everyday life, granting us an intimate look into the American backroom, into fringe areas, small towns, backyards and industrial districts."
I always wanted to travel and see different parts of the U.S., so this video and documentary is right up my alley.

Time Travel Posters

Check out The Federation for The Advancement of Time poster series designed by Amy Martin for 826LA's Echo Park Time Travel Mart. This is Amy's second travel-themed poster series for the non-profit organization. My favorite is "A flap of the wings yesterday means big changes tomorrow" poster. I hope they continue making these WPA-inspired series.

Type Camp

Type Camp seems like a good, Sister Corita-like idea for a summer camp, especially when it is set up at a tiny island in Canada or somewhere exotic like India. At Type Camp, you'll be doing typographic projects with some of the world's most experienced typographers for one week. At the same time, you'll get to soak up the sun and do all the fun summer activities like swimming, hiking, sleeping in. Like any summer camp, though, this too comes with a pricey tag. Maybe I will set up my own mini type camp in the living room instead.
